SpellCheck

SpellCheck is a complete design file spell checking tool. It compares words in text elements, text nodes, and cells against any number of dictionary files and makes suggestions for correct spelling, allowing text to easily be corrected without usingMicroStation text editing commands.

This spell checker has a valuable feature which ensures that an element has been checked or ignored. The element is tagged and is not rechecked unless it is edited or a full re-check is requested. This saves time ignoring the same words repeatedly if they are not suitable to be added to the user dictionary. This also speeds up the checking process as correct words do not have to be compared to the dictionaries every time spell checker is used.

Dictionaries for SpellCheck can be set by choosing Quill > Dictionary Manager from the Bentley Advanced Map Finishing menu, which opens the Spelling/Dictionaries Options dialog. When SpellCheck checks a file, it scans all attached word lists for matching entries. The Spelling/Dictionary Options dialog controls which word lists are included and allows words to be moved between dictionaries or deleted.

SpellCheck using the key-in, MDL LOAD SPELCHEK, or by selecting Quill > SpellCheck from the Bentley Advanced Map Finishingg menu. It may also be automatically started by the MS_DGNAPPS configuration variable. When the SpellCheck application is loaded, a new SpellCheck entry appears on the MicroStation Utilities menu.
